Taking The Bus Is The Worst (and how to beat it)

Living in New York City, public transportation is a mixed bag. The subway is usually a great way to travel, but sometimes you have to take a bus. The bus is rarely a good experience. If I have a ride where the most eventful actions are a bookie taking bets on his phone, a woman vomiting from too many mimosas at brunch and a driver that insists on hitting the break too hard at each red light…well, that’s actually a pretty good ride. Typically my experience has been worse and is the reason months go between my use of the bus as a means to get from point A to B. However, I have found a small reprieve when riding the bus.
