Rockstar Ramblings: Tribute

42

This week an eclectic group of videos featuring bad ass women, potential kidnappings and answering the question no one asked: Why do escalators move so slow?

Axel Rudi Pell has released a new video for the song “Long Way To Go”, taken from the guitarist’s latest album ‘Into The Storm.’ The video starts like an indie movie, a boring indie movie. We see city like scenes and then an escalator. Is the escalator a metaphor for life and the “long way to go?” Maybe it just means some escalators are way to slow and this song is about how long it takes. If so, I understand…

The celebrated hard rock power trio California Breed, which consists of Glenn Hughes (vocals, bass), Jason Bonham (drums) and Andrew Watt (guitar) have released the official lyric video for their current single “Midnight Oil.” I feel like I just received a ransom note via video. (Note to ransom people: I have no money)…

The female hard rock band Thundermother have released a video for the song “Shoot To Kill”, from the Swedish band’s new album ‘Rock ‘N’ Roll Disaster.’ It’s time to play: Are these girls bad asses? 1. These girls wear studs on the bottom of their shoes (verdict: pretty bad ass). 2. The amps are turned all the way up – ALL THE TIME! (verdict: bad ass) 3. These girls rock so hard the video turns from color to black and white (verdict: not bad ass, but it’s okay because we turn up our amps all the way up – ALL THE TIME!)…

Here is 42 Decibel; they have released a new video for the song “Rocker Soul”, from their debut album ‘Hard Rock ‘N’ Roll.’ Definitely a group heavily influenced by AC/DC, here’s a tribute and a guitar driven get well message to Malcolm Young…
