Hi Mom!

New videos from two Australian bands and one Swedish band this week; focus on mesh tank tops and the debate of what is the proper reaction when you are on camera: “Hi Mom” vs. Middle Finger.

Australian rockers, The Black Aces, have released a new video for the track “On The Rocks”, off their ‘Hellbound’ EP. The start of the video could easily be confused for a commercial for Marshal amps and VB beer. There is something I like about the song and vocalist, and no, it’s not the mesh tank top. Well okay, not only the mesh tank top…

London LeGrand, best known for his work with Nikki Sixx (Motley Crue, Sixx:AM) and Tracii Guns (L.A. Guns) in Brides Of Destruction, is back with a band called Rockstars On Mars. The Swedish based band recently released a video for the single “Tequila & Gin”, which was remixed and mastered by Crashdiet’s Martin Sweet. The song is a big time eighties flashback tune; a tribute to Skid Row, Motley Crue and cowboy hats. I’m not so sure about mixing tequila and gin though, that’s like cranberry sauce and milk, which was the worst part of Thanksgiving dinner for me. By the way, whatever happened to waving and saying “Hi Mom” when the camera is put on you? When did this change to flipping the bird instead? Video statistics reveal 0 “Hi Moms” and 867 middle fingers in this video. Not even close…

Australian rockers, Ragdoll, have released their second promotional video and single “Break You.” Ragdoll is just a band having fun in this video, even getting in some awkward weight lifting. Video statistics reveal 0 “Hi Moms” and 2 middle fingers in this video. That’s so sad…
